Nazlı Karaturna - The Cure

What makes a tea a remedy? Is there a secret ingredient?

The Cure explores grief, memory, and inherited care through the logic of a dream. In a moment of illness, comfort briefly appears in the form of a mother before disappearing again. By focusing on domestic gestures and everyday healing rituals—such as preparing a simple household tea—the comic reflects on care as the root of medicine, learned, passed down, and reimagined in the absence of the caregiver.

"Through drawing this comic, I reflect on memory and the small rituals of care that remain with us. Remembering becomes a way to carry these gestures forward and reconnect with inherited forms of healing."
